Another great story about Jack and Marin

Another great story about Jack and Marin. Jack meets a new magical creature (Bob) what lives in his shop and brings good luck. Bob's friend has a scary entity living in his attic, so Bob asks Jack and Marin for help.
This time Jack is in danger because of Essence of dragon...an old ancient dragon is trying to possess him...Marin has to ask her father for help and Jack has to decide if he's willing to sacrifice himself to give an ancient dragon peace.
I've enjoyed each one of these espisodes ...Jack and Marin seem like the old friends you haven't seen in a while but catch up with really fast.
This story is a little different from the others but just as compelling...Throughly enjoyed it

Cute short story-love the little critter, Bob. This is the continuing saga of Jack and Marin (a dragon) and their adventures solving different supernatural problems. I particularly like the playful exchanges between Jack an Marin-you sometimes wonder who is working for whom. Cannot wait for the next episode. Thanks for free episodes in exchange for a review whether good or bad. I ll say there was a problem with pdf it kept repeating a page about 4 times, so it made it confusing to read until I caught on to the problem. But other than that, cute story with no erotic stuff.

When the white furry rodent like creature appears to Jack in his office, he is surprised when Marin informs him that he has a request for Jack. Seems there is a scary something living in the attic of a neighboring store and he was hoping Jack could get rid of it since his friend also lives in that store. Jack certainly didn't expect the scary something to be so bad that Marin is terrified of it. What frightens a dragon! This is the 4th episode in the Spirelli Paranormal Investigations series, and the stories keep getting better! Looking forward to the new episode to be published in August.

an atlas with great pictures and concise text

This atlas provides wonderful full color pictures of cells and tissues from several animal groups. The pictures are logically grouped by tissue type with examples from different species being shown together. Many of the sections have brief, but useful introductions. All the pictures are well labeled and have a brief discription of important characteristics of the specific cells or tissue types presented.
It likely to be useful to individuals working in veterinary science, animal science or animal research.

An amazing book with great colorful pictures. It begins from how to prepare histologic sections to the description of the most important tissues, organs and systems of eight species (dog, cat, horse, cow, sheep, goat, pig, and chicken). Before the pictures, the book gives you a very useful and brief chapter introduction. It also has a detailed glossary containing nearly 750 words. A necesary book for a veterinary student. Based on years of archival and ethnographic research in Venezuela’s largest public housing community, Barrio Rising delivers the first in-depth history of urban popular politics before the Bolivarian Revolution, providing crucial context for understanding the democracy that emerged during the presidency of Hugo Chávez.

In the mid-1950s, a military government bent on modernizing Venezuela razed dozens of slums in the heart of the capital Caracas, replacing them with massive buildings to house the city’s working poor. The project remained unfinished when the dictatorship fell on January 23, 1958, and in a matter of days city residents illegally occupied thousands of apartments, squatted on green spaces, and renamed the neighborhood to honor the emerging democracy: the 23 de Enero (January 23).

During the next thirty years, through eviction efforts, guerrilla conflict, state violence, internal strife, and official neglect, inhabitants of el veintitrés learned to use their strategic location and symbolic tie to the promise of democracy in order to demand a better life. Granting legitimacy to the state through the vote but protesting its failings with violent street actions when necessary, they laid the foundation for an expansive understanding of democracy—both radical and electoral—whose features still resonate today.

Blending rich narrative accounts with incisive analyses of urban space, politics, and everyday life, Barrio Rising offers a sweeping reinterpretation of modern Venezuelan history as seen not by its leaders but by residents of one of the country’s most distinctive popular neighborhoods.

This means we are constantly on the surface, never reaching deeper, never gazing inward, unable to link our past to the history of man on earth. Unmoored from any sense of history that might offer us lessons or comfort in moments of crisis, anxieties are met not with nuance but with hyperbole: at hand is always either utopia or apocalypse, nothing in between."

Velasco's book was one of the most worthwhile reads of my life. I got to meet the author in person and he is the most interesting person ever. The point of the counterpoint between formal electoral politics and popular protest is carried throughout the book, painting a really accurate picture of Caracas in the second half of the twentieth century. As someone from Peru, I've found that the points that Velasco makes apply to certain extents to other countries as well. I learned a lot reading it.

An amazing story

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is not a taboo book it is a BDSM type of relationship.

In this book we get the story of Kimberly and Charles. We have seen how this couple has their HEA in the other three books. In this one we find out how it all began. In this book Kimberly is fighting her feelings for Charles she knows that she might have stronger feelings than friendship but doesn't want to act on them because he is still married to Vanessa. Though she feels bad for all the problems that Vanessa gives him she knows unless he leaves her on his own they can't be together. However when something happens so to Charles in Iraq everything changes.

Charles has always been the kind of man to stand by his woman and honor his commitments but he can't be in this marriage any more. No matter how much he gives she is doing nothing but verbally abusing him and he won't have his son growing up watching this happen to his own father. So to pay off their debt and help him to afford a divorce he closes down his construction company and goes to work in Iraq for a 2 year commitment. Shortly after arriving though he ends up with a cut and an infection that threatens to take his life. During this time he is e-mailing back and forth with Kimberly and they are developing a bond that he has never felt in his marriage.

The question remains what will happen when he comes home from Iraq? What will he loose from this infection? This is an amazing story about finding love when it is the worst possible timing and fighting for it with your last breath. This is an amazing story and after reading the first three books in this series and seeing how Kimberly helps all of her friends it is amazing to see how she and Charles got to where they are. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone this is an amazing story

I adore Normandie’s Daddy series!!! This story was a rare treat. It included characters from her other books. The cool thing about this story is that it can be read as a stand-alone, as it is a prequel to the others. I recommend you read this and the other books in this series to enjoy the full effect…each story is something special!!! I really enjoyed the development of the two characters…Charles and Kimberly. They seems to complement one another and the love story was so sweet. I hate hate hate Vanessa…she is a very cruel, spiteful and verbally abusive woman. Of course Charles sees a better life with Kimberly and the two of them fall in love….their relationship gets steamier and steamier. It was so cool how their love grew, and they both discovered they liked the "daddy - little girl" relationship. I hope there is a sequel to this since I want to see a nice resolution. Bravo Miss Normandie…awesome job once again!!!

Emotional, Sexy Love Story

This story has everything a reader could want – a hero who makes you swoon, a heroine you can root for, and a wicked witch you want to throttle! This book tells how the Daddy’s Girl Club began, and we meet many of the characters we’ve grown to love in books 1-3. It was fun to see how they meet each other, and now I understand why Sloane has never been a fan of Charmaine.

But there’s more to this romance than just insanely sexy encounters. This book is an emotionally charged read about a man deployed to a war zone and what it’s like for the woman he loves. Charles is an incredible hero, a bad-ass Ranger with a sensitive side. (I died when he said he was working on his pain tolerance!) The tenderness and vulnerability he shows in his letters to Kimberly is heart-wrenching. Not only a much-anticipated installment of Alleman’s hot Daddy Dom series, but also a great military romance.

Fantastic tips and information

I was thrown into the water, so to speak, in inside advertising sales, and asked to swim. So I researched several books on the topic of cold calling, and saw that "How to Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling" had all 5-star reviews. I'm not sorry I bought this one! This book is a wealth of information about developing relationships and acting in more of a consultative sales manner so as not to turn potential advertisers off with an overly "sales-y" approach.

The book also lists all kinds of wonderfully helpful websites and how to use them to find pertinent information about the person you're trying to contact, including e-mail addresses, names, titles, business information and statistics, etc. which is tremendously valuable to researching BEFORE you call. Thank you, Mr. Richter! You've helped me get off to a solid start in sales.

Great Book!

This is a really good book. There is so much information that I have to take it in like a sponge that is why I couldnt give it all five stars. I know some of the search engines in the book and there are many more I have never seen. If I land a sale from using this book I will revisit this four star review and give it five. Many sales gurus are out there and I feel this is one of the better books on the market because it fills a good niche ..........sales intelligence.

This book is practical, excellent and packed with practical marketing ideas that will knock your socks off. One of the best practical, step by step, no BS books I've read on sales and connecting the dots. If you are trying to sell services or products - buy this book, lock yourself in a room for a week and come out swinging. If you can't build a sales machine after reading this book you need to hang up your sales shoes.

Good Foundational Book!

I really like the way this book is presented. It provides a really concise yet complete overview of the disabilities most commonly encountered. I also like the pages in the back of each chapter that give teaching strategies in respect to the disability discussed. This is a great book for general educators looking for some information on disabilities and for those beginning to learn about special education. This book gives a great foundation for all the other special education courses that follow it. Great book!

Great Book for Future or Current Educators

Yes, this was a text required for my class, but I find myself reading it just for the knowledge it contains, assigned or not. Well written, and quite comprehensive. A very complex topic addressed intelligently.
