Another great read!

After reading Throttled, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Whipped. This is another of Elizabeth's best works, and I couldn't finish it fast enough.
Georgia Bennett lost the love of her life while he was stationed overseas. Brett Sallinger is MotoCross' bad boy, who is temporarily off the track due to an injury. During his recovery, Georgia is there to help him out. Neither is looking for a relationship, so falling for each other wasn't in the cards.
This was a quick, fun read and I can't wait for Hoyt and Chayse's book next.

Elizabeth Lee has done it again, she has made me fall completely, totally and utterly in love with the characters she has created. Brett is the perfect combination of alpha male and nice guy. He makes me swoon! Georgia is the perfect female lead, she's feisty and smart and her story will touch your heart.

In Review: Whipped (Wild Riders #2) by Elizabeth Lee

I was all kinds of excited when I learned Elizabeth Lee would be writing a new series featuring motocross riders. I thoroughly enjoyed Reid and Nora's story in the first book, Throttled, and was anxious to get to read Brett's story. I wanted to see him get tamed. :)
I can't deny I was a little apprehensive of the pairing between Brett and Georgia at first. She had been through so much already with losing her first husband at a young age and I wasn't entirely sure how she would pair with manwhore Brett. My fears were laid aside relatively quickly during this book because, honestly, once things started happening between them, Brett had eyes for no one else. (The best version of "tamed" I can ask for.) Even still, it wasn't all smooth going between them. While I can't say she was still hung up on her first husband, his loss definitely affected how she looked at life and love. She was terrified at the thought of losing love again and when the guy you're falling for has a dangerous job as Brett does, those fears get stirred up pretty quickly, understandably.
I wound up really loving Brett and Georgia's story. He was healing from his injury. She was healing from losing Jamie. They were both going through a lot and I loved how they were there for one another. They had crazy chemistry and things got pretty steamy between them. While there were plenty of feels with this book, it was pretty low on angst, which I appreciated. There's no doubt these two were better together than apart. I loved reading along as Georgia got a second chance at love and began truly living again. I also, of course, enjoyed watching Brett find something real. It was a great story.
Of course, we get a glimpse into some pretty special moments between Nora and Reid
